My brother and I decided to go check out Irish Town park to do some nature photography. He wanted to try the same lake shot but the water wasn't as calm so after he took his shot, we wondered in the trails.
Even though we were there at 8:00 am, it was still a little late and the sun was a little harsh. Finding a good composition was a little tricky because of the lack of experience in these situations.
This was shot with my Fujifilm X-T20 + Rokinon 50mm 1.2. This is out of camera raw with Lightroom presets (Adobe Monochrome):
Unfortunately, I don't remember the f stop. I'm thinking around F/4. My goal was to create a mysterious path in the woods. I lowered the highlights a lot since they were harsh. I used the adjustment brush in many placed to emphasize the path.
This shot was with my Fujifilm X-T20 + Fujinon 27mm F/2.8. This is out of camera raw with Lightroom presets (Adobe Color):
Here I tried using the path curve to lead your eyes in the shot. As for editing, I did a lot. Again, I lowered the highlights by a lot since they were harsh and used the brush tool to emphasized the path. I also played with the colors to make it warmer.
