(Street) Night Shots

This was the time of the year (end of September) where the weather is not too cold and the sun starts setting earlier. These shots were taken at around 7:30PM.
That day, I learned street night photography isn't easy. Especially when you only have 2 primes (27mm and 50mm). I had a really hard time finding compositions.

My friend and I found this nice old building and because we were a little late in the evening, the lighting was really moody which was really nice.

This was shot with my Fujifilm X-T20 + Rokinon 50mm 1.2. This is out of camera raw with Lightroom presets (Adobe Color) + Vertical Perspective:

I had to adjust the vertical perspective to make the building look straight. I removed a lot of highlights from the sky and made it darker and also brighten up the shadows in the tree.

When we were done with that shot, I looked to my left and the sky was amazing. The clouds were moving fairly quickly so we didn't have that much time. It was also tricky because I didn't want light trails from the cars.

I did some basic edits like lifting the shadows and split toning on the highlights and shadows with a purple color.

Street/city photography is harder than I thought. I will have to try it again next year.
