Warm Bath

Sometimes, I like to take warm baths for relaxing and I wanted to capture the comfort of the warm water. So while preparing my relaxing bath, I decided I'll try to capture this "comfort".

This works better in winter because the difference between the air temperature and water temperature is greater which creates steam. Here's the setup:

I ended up using my Manfrotto mini tripod because with my normal tripod, I couldn't get close enough for the composition I wanted. I bought this mini tripod for my upcoming trip but it's been useful on a couple of occasions now.

This shot was taken with my Fujifilm X-T20 + Fujinon 27mm F/2.8. This is out of camera raw with Lightroom presets (Adobe Monochrome):

The editing was fairly light. Some dodge and burning around the water, vignetting and lowered the highlights. I shot this at ISO 1600 to have a decent shutter speed because I wanted to see the detail of the steam. Anything lower and the steam would be washed out.

You have to remember who do you shoot for. I know this for many people isn't an interesting shot but for me it is and that's all that matters really. If you want to shoot long term, shoot for yourself.
