Earlier this summer, I went scouting this beautiful walking trail and not far off from where I started I noticed this tree isolated with the grassy fields. I returned 3 days later after checking SunCalc.org to see what time I should go.
Maybe I went a little too early but I'm still happy with the lighting I got
from this shot. Looking at the sun direction is important as it will determine
where you'll be pointing your camera.
These were shot with my Fujifilm X-T3 + Rokinon 50mm 1.2. This is out of camera raw with Lightroom presets (Adobe Color):
Some very small global adjustments like increased exposure, shadows and clarity. This was the first time I lowered the vibrancy. Out of camera looked like it was too much.

As for local adjustments, I isolated the tree a bit more with a radial.
There's another radial in the top right corner to simulated lens flare. I used
the brush on the grass and masked for the highlights and increased the
highlights even more for that glowing look.

Scouting pays off. Photography around here is a little more tricky and you
need isolated subjects. Timing with the clouds is also a big factor. I'm a bit
lucky here as I do have some clouds. A plain blue sky would be less
interesting.
