I woke up one autumn morning and I was astounded by the fog but the sun was already up and it looked a bit thin already but I decided to go anyway. Even driving there I could see it disappearing and I remember my mind telling me to just turn around. But, since it wasn't far away and I had some hope the fog would be there because of the water. Boy was I right.
There was so much fog it was incredible. I know many photographers like to chase fog and even though I felt this was cool, it was a bit tricky since there was so much of it. But one thing for sure is it was beautiful and peaceful.
These shots were all taken with my Fujifilm X-T3 + Fujinon XF55-200mm. I won't go through the edits for these shots.
95mm 1/15sec F/11 ISO 160 |
78mm 1/50sec F/11 ISO 160 |
200mm 1/30sec F/11 ISO 160 |
148mm 1/30sec F/11 ISO 160 |
I'm sure you're wondering why I didn't shoot with a wide-angle and only the
telephoto lens. With my 27mm, I was getting too much sky and water. It made
everything insignificant. I really like picking composition with my telephoto.
I could've done a panorama though and I might try that the next time.
When I was driving back home, there was more fog around my house than when I
left. It was crazy and a little odd since now the sun was high. I think I was
lucky that day.
