Frosty Autumn Morning

One morning I woke up a little earlier than usual and I was contemplating if I should go out and check out the golf course nearby just to see. Boy was I glad I did. I didn't know there was this crazy frost. This is super lucky as we didn't get another frosty morning like this. Unfortunately, the sky was clear so no interesting clouds. You can see my point of view here:

You can see the nice morning sunlight and that frost on the grass. As the sun was rising, you could see patches of light-catching on the hilly golf course. The trees were also catching side light which is very nice.

This shot was with my Fujifilm X-T3 + Fujinon XF55-200mm. This is out of camera raw with Lightroom presets (Adobe Color):

While writing this post, I noticed I could crop the picture even more to exclude more of the sky. I try to avoid cropping but I didn't have any choice here. So I have a bunch of local adjustments for the trees and foreground. I brought up the highlights to emphasize that nice sunlight but also lifted the shadows.

I felt lucky but I guess you make your own luck by trying often. This is one of my favorite pictures of 2020. Another shot I'm thankful for my telephoto lens.
