Plant Light and Shadow 2

The sun in winter is amazing. It doesn't go as high as in summer so it produces nice sunlight even at midday. This was taken just after 2PM.

I've taken a similar shot before a couple of years ago but this composition is a little different and the plant is different. I just really like the high contrast of the light and shadows.

This was shot with my Fujifilm X-T3 + Rokinon 50mm 1.2. This is out of camera raw with Lightroom presets (Adobe Color):

I focused stack the image because I wanted the countertop to be in focus as well. I warmed it up as you can see with the color grading tool. I lowered the highlights on the plant to remove the harsh highlights. I darken the countertop since it's not important and I decreased the vibrancy just a bit and I find it makes a really nice look to my pictures.

50mm 1/50sec F/5.6 ISO 160

I saw this potential shot a couple days prior to this shot and I didn't take a picture. So I waited patiently until we had sunlight again. I like the waiting and planning part of photography. It's kind of like anticipation of something good.
