Winter Texture

I went to the golf course one morning for a potential shot. Unfortunately, the sun went behind some clouds once I got there and it wasn't coming out soon.

I couldn't help but noticing these patterns in the snow. A lot of people walk here so it left some deep footprints but the snow melted which smoothed them out. We also had light snow the night before.

Now, this is the kind of picture that both out of camera and the edited version are nice. It will all depend on your screen. Editing white pictures is not easy.

This shot was with my Fujifilm X-T3 + Fujinon XF55-200mm. This is out of camera raw with Lightroom presets (Adobe Color):

I increased the clarity, texture, and dehaze for the overall picture to get more detail. Contrast and vibrancy were reduced just a bit. I then use a local brush on the main hole to add more shadow. I wanted the big hole to stand out a bit so I decreased the blacks on a few other holes to make sure they don't pull your attention too much.

Sometimes, very simples pictures can turn out great. I didn't use my 27mm because I would capture too much and there was only a small neat area so I had to use my zoom to capture only this clean patch.
