Sunset HDR

I was in BBQing in the backyard and I noticed the sky had some interesting clouds.  For a nice sunset, you need clouds and these looked promising.

I went to the same trail I shot the Lone Tree In Field in hope of finding another interesting subject to have with this nice sunset. Unfortunately, I didn't find any so I came back to the open spot to catch as much sky with a bit of cityscape.

The thing I remember the most of this session was the mosquitoes. This was shot mid-June at sunset near a river...I'll bring something for the mosquitoes next time. Finding a composition was really hard since there's no real subject but the skies looked amazing. I knew the foreground would be underexposed so I decided to take 2 shots and try HDR for the first time.

These were shot with my Fujifilm X-T3 + Rokinon 50mm 1.2. This is an HDR from 2 files merged in lightroom:

I probably did something wrong here because the foreground is so dark. It was difficult to make it look natural.

50mm 1/13sec F/11 ISO 160

I will study how to make HDR properly and try this again. I'm convinced there are ways to make it look more natural and pleasing.
